Dashboards show the company's own indicators, built from widgets.
A widget (Setup > Reporting > Widgets) is a database query with a presentation: table, card with one figure, bar chart, line chart, pie. An administrator writes the SQL query (or builds it with the query builder), picks the presentation type and the argument and value fields, and tests with Run. Dates show in the company's regional format and column headers read as words or translated.
A dashboard (Setup > Reporting > Dashboards) gathers several widgets on a grid. They are dragged and resized; each dashboard can have filters (for example importer or date range) that are passed to the queries.
Analytics > Dashboards lists the available dashboards; each opens full screen and refreshes with its button. A dashboard can be pinned to Favorites or chosen as the user's Default menu so it is the first thing they see when signing in.
