Importers

The importer is the owner of the goods the warehouse holds in custody. Every contract, and therefore every receipt, invoice and shipment, belongs to an importer.

Creating an importer

1. Master data > Importers > New.
2. Type the name (the short code the lists identify it by, for example IMP-000001) and the company name (legal name).
3. Fill in the Tax id, the legal rep name and their identification, phone, email and address.
4. Upload the company logo (PNG) with Upload...: it appears on the importer's reports and emails.

Fields save as you leave each one.

Warehouse integration

When the tenant is connected to P4W, each importer corresponds to a client in the warehouse. The administrator handles the synchronization from Setup > System > Tenant > P4W Integration (Sync... button); nothing needs doing on the importer's record.

Importer users

An importer can have users of its own who sign in to aduanasHQ and see only its documents, inventory and Stock position. They are assigned under Setup > System > Users, section Importers of the user; see Users and sessions.

Notes

Use Notes... to record commercial agreements, contacts or special instructions for the importer; they are kept with date and author.
