Analytics > Operations answers two management questions: what the freight and insurance really cost against what was declared, and at what pace the warehouse moves.

Declared vs actual freight and insurance

Choose the period (3, 6 or 12 months). It shows:

• The totals of Declared (freight + insurance), Actual (freight + insurance) and the Variance, with the number of contracts in the period. A positive variance (more was paid than declared) is highlighted.
• A bar chart by month with declared and actual.
• A By importer table with contracts, declared, actual, variance, tax and adjustments.

The figures come from the contract's cost fields: if the actual costs are not recorded when the shipping line's and insurer's invoices arrive, this screen has nothing to compare.

Daily flow

Choose the period (7, 14 or 30 days). It shows Receipts, approved invoices and Shipments per day, with the total and the daily average, and a line chart. Useful to spot peaks, slow weeks, and whether invoices go out at the pace Receipts come in.
