Master data are the catalogues the documents draw on: who owns the goods, where they come from, who carries them, where they are stored, who they are delivered to, and what they are. Have them complete before creating the first contract.
| Catalogue | Purpose | Maintained by |
|---|---|---|
| Importers | The owner of the goods in custody. Every contract belongs to an importer. | Administrator |
| Exporters | The supplier at origin who ships the goods. | Administrator or user |
| Warehouses | The facilities where goods are received and stored. | Administrator |
| Customers | Who the goods are delivered to (the proforma invoice's recipient). | Administrator or user |
| Freighters | The importer's transport companies. | Administrator or user |
| Products | The items, per importer, with their tariff code and unit of measure. | Administrator or user |
All catalogues work the same way: a list with search, filters and export, and a detail with automatic saving, Notes and Changes. See Working with lists.
Exporters, Customers, Freighters and Products belong to an importer. A user assigned to an importer only sees and uses that importer's.
