Searching with Ctrl+K

The search box at the top of every screen finds anything in LogisticaHQ from one place: a menu entry, a setting, or a record such as a product, an order or an invoice. Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) from anywhere to jump to it, then start typing.

Ctrl+K search results grouped by Settings, Products, Invoices, Clients and Vendors

What it finds

  • Menu - every screen in your menu, by its name.
  • Settings - every configuration setting, by its name or description. Opening one takes you straight to that setting in Configuration.
  • Records - once you have typed at least 2 characters:
    • Products - SKU, UPC, description or reference number
    • Inventory - the exact SKU, showing each bin or LPN that holds it
    • Pick tickets - pick ticket number, reference number, or the exact SKU of a line
    • Purchase orders - PO number, reference number, or the exact SKU of a line
    • Invoices - invoice number or client name
    • Returns - return number or reference number
    • LPNs - license plate code
    • Bins - bin code
    • Customers - Customer code or company name
    • Clients - client name or company name
    • Vendors - vendor code or company name
    • Users - username, first or last name

You only see what you are allowed to open: if your role cannot open a kind of record, that group simply does not appear.

Reading the results

  • Results are grouped. Each group shows its first 3 matches; See all opens that group's list screen with your search already filled in.
  • The chips at the top (All, Settings, Products...) show how many matches each group has. Click one to show that group only, with up to 10 matches.
  • Orders and invoices show their status as a small label, for example Draft or Released.
  • Before you type anything, the panel lists your Recent places: the last 6 results you opened.

Search one kind only

Type a prefix and a colon before your search to look in one group only:
