The inventory Reports show what is physically in the Warehouse right now. Inventory (Analytics > Inventory) lists stock sitting directly in Bins, one row per bin/product; Bulk inventory lists stock on license plates (LPNs). Both grids show product, location, quantity, client, and the blocking status, and both carry a per-row Action menu.
Blocking takes a specific stock row out of circulation without moving it: blocked inventory cannot be allocated by anything — pick tickets, Production orders, restock, tray dispatch, or handheld refill suggestions — until it is unblocked. Use it for quarantine holds, damage, recalls, or pending inspection.
Stock that is already allocated refuses to block — the message names how many reservations are standing. Unallocate the pick ticket, Production order or Task first, then block; this guarantees a block never strands a picker mid-document.
The same Action menu shows Unblock inventory on a blocked row. The stock becomes allocatable again immediately.
Every block and unblock writes an audit record with the user, date/time, reason, product, quantity and location. Find them in History under operation type Handling, sub-types BlockInventory and UnblockInventory.
Settings > Business > Reason Codes has a Block inventory pair: a comma-separated reason list (for example Quarantine,Damaged,Recall,Inspection) and a toggle to allow manual free-text reasons instead of the list.
