Inventory by Manufacturer

Inventory by Manufacturer

Inventory by Manufacturer is a Stimulsoft operations report that groups your current stock by the manufacturer recorded on each product. It answers one question for buyers and finance: how much of the Inventory, in units and in value, belongs to each brand or maker? Use it to negotiate with suppliers, spot brands that are overstocked, and check how concentrated your Inventory value is.

Where to find it

Open Analytics > Operations Reports, select the Inventory category, and choose Inventory by Manufacturer. Click Preview to open it in the report viewer, where you can print or export to PDF and Excel.

Where the manufacturer comes from

The report groups on the Manufacturer field of the product record. Products with no manufacturer are grouped together under Sin fabricante (no manufacturer). Two spellings of the same maker ("Toby Orthopedics" and "TOBY ORTHOPAEDICS", for example) appear as two groups, so keep the field consistent on the product records. See Products to edit it.

What it shows

The tiles at the top summarize the whole report: total Inventory value, number of manufacturers, number of SKUs with stock, and total units on hand.

Summary by manufacturer ranks every manufacturer by Inventory value:

Column Description
Manufacturer The manufacturer recorded on the Products
SKUs How many Products with stock belong to it
On hand Units on hand across all Warehouses
Value On hand multiplied by each product's cost
% Value The manufacturer's share of the total Inventory value

Detail by manufacturer lists every stocked product under its manufacturer, with SKU, description, on hand, unit cost and value, and closes each group with the manufacturer's total units and value.

How it is valued

  • On hand is the product's total quantity across all Warehouses, in eaches.
  • Value is on hand multiplied by the product's Cost. A product with no cost counts as zero value.
  • Only Inventory items with a non-zero quantity are included.
  • The figures are a snapshot at the moment the report runs; the date range has no effect.
  • The total reconciles with the Inventory Valuation report, which uses the same basis.

Tips

  • A large Sin fabricante group means many Products have no manufacturer set. Fill it in on the product records and the report becomes useful immediately.
  • Export to Excel from the viewer toolbar to share a brand-level stock position with your suppliers.
  • Amounts are shown in your base currency.
