Translations

Translations

Every word your team reads in CifraHQ can be yours. The Translations screen exposes every text key in the system — labels, button text, column headings, messages — and lets you replace them with your own terminology for your tenant. Rename "Invoice" to "Tax Invoice", change "Vendor" to "Supplier", or translate the entire UI into a regional language. Your changes apply only to your company and never affect other tenants.

Where to find it

Go to Setup > System > Translations.

Translations page in CifraHQ.

Translations, the per-language overrides for any UI string.

How to override a translation

  1. Select a Language from the dropdown at the top of the screen.
  2. Find the key you want to change — use the grid search to locate it by its current text.
  3. Click the Translation field for that key and type your custom text.
  4. The change saves automatically when you move to the next field.

Keys shown in green have already been customized for your tenant. Keys in black show the system default. At a glance you can see exactly what you've changed.

Languages

CifraHQ ships with multiple built-in languages. The Default language is the base system English. To add a new language, contact your administrator — this requires SuperUser access.

Tips

  • Overrides are tenant-specific. Your custom labels don't affect any other company using CifraHQ.
  • If you leave a key blank, CifraHQ falls back to the Default language value — nothing breaks.
  • Use the Export button to download all your current overrides as a spreadsheet, edit in bulk, then Import to apply the changes at once. This is the fastest path when rolling out a full terminology change.
  • Click any key in the Value column to copy it to the clipboard — handy when you know the on-screen text but need to find its key ID in the grid.
